Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino will team up with the Fresno Baseball Club and Grizzlies Stadium to help bring more major concerts to downtown Fresno, beginning with Toby Keith on Thursday, Sept. 14 and Ana Gabriel with stand-up comedian Paul Rodriguez on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

The relationship was announced Tuesday afternoon at a press conference in the 600 Club of Grizzlies Stadium to further the initial plan of bringing more events to Grizzlies Stadium and downtown Fresno.

"This is an exciting opportunity which will allow for increased use of this first-class facility," said General Partner Brian Glover. "We hope this will be the start of a long-term relationship between Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino and the Fresno Grizzlies."

"This is a significant step toward our goal of bringing more entertainment options to downtown Fresno, which will, in turn, bring people and further revitalization to the core of our city," said Managing General Partner Chris Cummings.

"We join together in a new partnership to bring bigger names, better concerts and even more fun to the Fresno area," said Dixie Jackson, Chairperson of the Chukchansi Tribe that operates the Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino.

"Grizzlies Stadium, with its large seating capacity, is the perfect place to host concerts for everyone in the Valley to enjoy and Chukchansi Gold has the capacity and ability to attract the kind of premier performers and big names that will fill the stadium, providing economic benefits both for the stadium and the tribe."

Both concerts will have a pre-sale for Fresno Grizzlies season ticket holders before going on sale to the public with dates for the pre-sale to be announced shortly.
