Fireworks and TV Giveaways Highlight 2015 Promotional Schedule

A mix of fan favorite and new promotions highlight the 2015 schedule

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - While the team name may be new, the core values of entertainment, commitment and customer experience remain the top priority at Four Winds Field in 2015. The South Bend Cubs are excited about the new talent that will be taking the field, but are equally excited about the promotions that will be taking place at the ballpark this year. Among the top promotions returning for 2015 will be fireworks, flat screen TV giveaways, celebrity appearances and Sunday family days.

"Over the last three years, we have built a reputation for an exciting atmosphere at a price the entire family can afford," said Team President Joe Hart. "This year we are building on those promotions that worked for us in the past and trying out some new ideas that will cater to fans across the region."

Among the popular promotions returning are Pink in the Park (June 6 & June 7), Star Wars Night (June 20), Princess in the Park (July 12), Fallen Heroes Day (August 9) and Bark at the Park (May 3, July 19, and August 5).

Many weekly promotions will also return for 2015 including Thirsty Thursday presented by Budweiser and Pepsi, Fantastic Friday Fireworks presented by 1st Source Bank and Flat Screen Saturday presented by hhgregg. In 2015, there will be more firework shows than ever before with 17 shows planned for the upcoming season.

Giveaway items for 2015 include an Opening Night Rally Towel (April 9), 2015 Magnet Schedule (April 10-11), Fleece Blanket (April 18-19), Logo Baseball, (May 2-3), South Bend Cubs T-Shirt (May 23-24), Pink in the Park Pink Hat (June 6-7), Father's Day Pint Glass (June 20-21), South Bend Cubs Hat (July 11-12), Replica South Bend Cubs Youth Jersey (August 8-9), Bobblehead (August 22-23) and a team Calendar (September 2-4).

New promotions for 2015 include Video Game Night (April 23), Back to the Future Night (June 16), Superhero Night (July 21) and Nickelodeon Night (September 3). Details on these promotions and more will be available in the coming weeks.

Appearances for 2015 include a special Father's Day appearance by WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley (June 21), the Inflatamaniacs (July 2-3), The Amazing Frisbee Dogs (July 19) and Reggy the Purple Party Dude (August 5). Additional appearance will be announced at a later date.

All giveaways, promotions and event dates are subject to change.

The South Bend Cubs are a Class-A minor league team affiliated with the Chicago Cubs. Through the past 27 seasons, the team has won five Midwest League titles, most recently in 2005, and captured 12 division titles. The team is owned and operated by Swing-Batter-Swing, LLC, whose sole shareholder is Andrew T. Berlin of Chicago. Opening Day is on April 9, 2015.
