February 23, 2015

(Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium - Vancouver, B.C.) - The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club has announced on behalf of its Broadcast & Journalism Hall of Fame that journalist Grant Kerr and broadcaster Rob Fai have been selected for induction on Saturday, August 8th, 2015 at Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium.

Kerr has spent much of his career writing on any number of sports including professional baseball for local and national publications including the Globe & Mail, Canadian Press and Vancouver Province.

Early in his career, Grant covered the Vancouver Mounties of the Pacific Coast League before the franchise re-located. Upon the return of professional baseball to Vancouver with the Canadians, Kerr once again found himself situated inside the press box at Nat Bailey Stadium to continue his coverage of local baseball providing insight on a daily basis.

Fai debuted with the Canadians broadcast team in 1998 alongside current Hall of Fame members Brook Ward and Lowell Ullrich. In 2007, Fai took over as lead voice of Vancouver Canadians baseball and was behind the microphone for each of the C's three consecutive Northwest League Championships (2011-2013).

In addition to his time spent calling Canadians games both home and away, Fai has worked as the team's pre-game show host as well as host of the team's weekly baseball show heard on TSN1040 Sports Radio. In 2014, Fai was honoured with Baseball BC's Meritorious Award for his commitment to baseball in the province of British Columbia.
