LumberKings hire Greg Mroz as new Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant

Clinton, IA - Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Mike Weisman announced today the hiring of Greg Mroz as the Clinton LumberKings new Broadcast and Media Relations Assistant for the 2015 season.

Mroz, 22, will graduate from Northwestern University in late March with a bachelor's degree in History. For the past two years, Mroz served as the voice of the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League, the nation's top collegiate summer league. He called all 44 regular season games as well as all Kettleers playoff games during his two season stint in the Cape League.

In addition, Mroz has served as the sports director for the Northwestern News Network and WNUR, Northwestern's student television and radio stations respectively. He has provided coverage of all 19 Northwestern Athletics teams during his time at the school, and has provided play by play for Northwestern baseball, football, men's and women's basketball, softball, men's and women's soccer, volleyball, and lacrosse. For the past three years Mroz has also worked in the Northwestern Athletics Broadcast Operations department, where he has served as a play by play broadcaster and production assistant for online television broadcasts run through the Big Ten Network.

During his time at Northwestern, Mroz has been on the call for several big Wildcats events, which included the past two Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournaments, the 2014 Big Ten Softball Tournament, and the 2012 NCAA Women's Lacrosse National Championship game. Just prior to his arrival in Clinton, Mroz will be on the call for all postseason games for the Northwestern Women's Basketball team.

A California native, Mroz joins the "Voice of the LumberKings" Mike Weisman for opening night on April 9th at Ashford University Field, as Clinton hosts the Beloit Snappers at 6:30 PM.
