72 "Tickets To Fun" revealed for 2015

Promotions include 14 fireworks shows and 10 giveaway dates

Sticking with the slogan for 2015, the New Orleans Zephyrs have unveiled "Your Ticket To Fun" for each of the season's 72 home games with the release of the promotional schedule.

Once again in 2015, the Zephyrs will have the popular fireworks shows following every Friday game, in addition to three Saturday shows (June 6, July 4 and August 29) and Opening Night on Thursday, April 9.

Opening Night will also include the first of 10 giveaway dates, as the first 1,000 adults ages 21 and up will receive a Zephyrs replica jersey compliments of Silver Slipper Casino. Opening weekend continues with a mini-bat giveaway from Take 5 Oil Change on Saturday, April 10 (first 2,000 fans), and the first 3,000 fans through the gates to each of the first two games will get a 2015 magnet schedule from The Blood Center of New Orleans. Peoples Health will provide the first 1,000 fans to the Saturday, April 11 contest with a mesh beach bag, and Raising Canes celebrates Bark In The Park with Frisbees for the first 1,000 fans on Sunday, April 12.

Other giveaways include a T-Shirt courtesy of the UPS Store on April 25, a team photo from the Orthopedic Center for Sports Medicine on May 2, a Star Wars Night lightsaber on June 12, a mini-flag courtesy of Entergy on July 4, a baseball card set on July 19, a hat on July 31 sponsored by Treasure Chest Casino, and a poster on Fan Appreciation Night, August 29.

Special appearances will take place at the ballpark throughout the season. Fans can meet and take pictures with the stars of Animal Planet's "Pit Bulls and Parolees" during Bark In The Park on April 12. Bayside High's beloved principal Mr. Belding, Dennis Haskins of "Saved By The Bell" fame, will be on hand on April 25. Marvel superheroes Iron Man (May 2) and the Incredible Hulk (June 7) stop by Zephyr Field, as will Michelangelo of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on May 24, and SpongeBob SquarePants returns on July 19.

Nationally renowned entertainment acts will also perform throughout the year, including midget wrestling on May 23, ZOOperstars! on August 8, and BirdZerk on August 9.

Theme nights continue to be a staple of the Zephyrs' presentation, including dates dedicated to movies ("Star Wars" on June 12, "Toy Story" on July 5, "Jurassic Park" on July 17, "Back To The Future" on July 31 and "Rocky Horror Picture Show" on August 14), to kids (Circus Day on April 26, Princess Day on May 3, Boudreaux's Birthday Party on June 14 and Back To School Night on August 9), and to the outrageous (Seinfeld Night on May 15, Zombie Apocalypse Night on May 22, Salute To Bromance on July 16 and Tinder Night on August 6).

Each Sunday is Family Day at Zephyr Field, with discounted tickets for kids, churches and military members, plus an inflatable playground and kids running the bases after the game. Monday Fund-Days are introduced this season, providing fundraising opportunities for charities. 2-for-1 ticket Tuesdays are back, as are Web Wednesdays, offering a deal of the day by following the Zephyrs on social media. Budweiser Thirsty Thursdays get the weekend started with $1 draft beers and Pepsi products, in addition to $4 craft beers and $5 well drinks.
