MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (FEBRUARY 27, 2015) - The Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, are thrilled to announce the 2015 promotional schedule, jam-packed with fun and creative evenings for the upcoming year. Thirsty Thursdays, Weiner Wednesdays, and $2sday Brewsday are all back for the 2015 season and are joined by dozens of theme nights, giveaways, and more!

The 2015 promotional schedule is chock-full of a variety of new theme nights. July 26 is "Christmas Vacation in July" and gives a National Lampoon twist to the popular minor league baseball promotion of Christmas in July. The night includes Christmas-light-wrapped ugly sweater jerseys, a Cousin Eddie-style alpine hat giveaway for the first 1,000 fans, and Christmas-themed ballpark decorations. Fans can also bring unwrapped toys to donate to the Salvation Army.

On June 6, the Pelicans will don special jerseys again for Myrtle Beach Hurricanes Night, which will pay tribute to the Myrtle Beach Hurricanes, a Class-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays from 1991-1992. The jerseys will be auctioned off online and in-park to benefit the Bruce Dal Canton Scholarship Fund. Should a hurricane make landfall in Myrtle Beach, one lucky fan with a ticket to that game will receive $25,000.

Over the course of the season, the Pelicans will wear nine different alternate and/or themed jerseys, most of which will be available for auction during or at the end of the season.

April 23-26 brings the first ever Pelicans' "Geekend," with Hunger Games Night on Thursday, April 23, Star Wars Night on Friday, Superhero Night, benefiting the Special Olympics of South Carolina on Saturday, and Retro Game Night on Sunday.

The Pelicans will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future with a "Back to the Future Night" on Saturday, June 20.

Many fan-favorite theme nights from last season will be back as well. The #StrikeOutCancer Series will be six nights long, focusing on raising awareness for testicular cancer (#DeflateCancer Night courtesy of the American Cancer Society), esophageal cancer, breast and ovarian cancer (Pink in the Park with the Mary Kay Ash Foundation), juvenile cancer, and, of course, a return of Ballpark Digest's Promotion of the Year, Prostate Cancer Awareness Night, this year featuring a Bobble Finger giveaway courtesy of ARS Rescue Rooter. Coaches vs. Cancer returns as well to the #StrikeOutCancer Series.

Also returning is Military Appreciation Night with Embrace Hospice (May 14), Daddy-Daughter Date Night (June 7), Bark in the Park (May 19 & August 26), and Splash's Birthday (May 23), when the Pelicans will give away 100 bikes to kids in attendance.

Once again, all Thursday home games will be "Thirsty Thursdays," featuring $1.00 Bud and Bud Light drafts from 6:00-8:00 p.m. courtesy of 96.1 WKZQ. New to this season, the Pelicans will have at least one "Thirsty" night during each homestand this season. The Pelicans will host "Thirsty Monday" on July 13 and July 20 and "Thirsty Friday" on June 12 and August 14, which fall during homestands with no Thursday home games.

Wednesday games are "Weiner Wednesdays" presented by Hebrew National which, this year, will feature buy one, get one free hot dogs all game long. Tuesdays are once again "$2sday Brewsdays" with $2.00 craft draft beers served from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Returning for a second season is Locals' Appreciation Night courtesy of Sparks Toyota & Wave 104.1, which takes place every Saturday home game. Locals can receive $3.00 off Grand Strand Reserved and Reserved Box tickets by showing a local ID when purchasing tickets to Saturday games.

Joining these four weekly promotions is Ladies Night courtesy of Star 92.1, which will occur every Friday home game, when fans can enjoy half-priced wine from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Post-game Fireworks shows, always a staple of the Pelicans promotional calendar, are back in full force, with 19 dates over the course of the season. Seven post-game East Coast Pyrotechnics Fireworks Extravaganza shows take place during July, with a celebration of America's independence on July 2 and 3.
