Special 6:00 PM Start Time: Sunday June 13
The evening starts with the gates opening at 4:15pm Sunday afternoon. As the first 1,000 fans enter the gates, they'll receive a Cliff Lee Bobblehead. That's the first 1,000 fans of all ages. The Cliff Lee Bobblehead giveaway is sponsored by Stroehmann Bakery, abc27, BOB 94.9 and 97.3 the River.
The fun continues for youngsters 12 and under with a pre-game, on-field clinic from 4:30pm to 5:15pm. Learn tips from Sens manager Randy Knorr, pitching coach Randy Tomlin, hitting coach Troy Gingrich and several players. And best of all, it's free!
It's also Family Day presented by Rite Aid, BOB 94.9, and 97.3 The River. There's still time to get a discount Family Day coupon for the 6:00pm start by going to any participating Rite Aid. The coupon is good for 4 box seats, 4 hot dogs, and 4 sodas for only $24!
And if all that wasn't enough, Cost Cutters presents Kids Eat Free on Sundays. All kids 12 and under receive a voucher that's good for a hot dog, a bag of chips and a slush puppy.
Did you say there should be more? Okay then, kids 12 and under get to run the bases after the game, which is always a fun time.
The Washington Nationals are chipping in on the special Sunday night festivities as LHP Ross Detwiler is making a rehab start for the Senators. Detwiler is currently on the 60-day DL for the Nationals and has made one rehab start, this past Wednesday, for Potomac. The left-hander started last season with the Senators before going to the big leagues. He was selected in the first round (6th overall) by the Nationals in the 2007 draft.
