Trenton playoff tickets on sale
The Thunder, who began the season by losing their first 10 games, put playoff tickets on sale following their first win of the season on April 17. The Thunder were the last full-season team in Minor League baseball to record a victory this season. The Thunder are now tied with Portland for the Eastern League Northern Division lead with a 58-49 record.
"The whole playoff tickets on sale announcement was in support of our manager Bill Masse's statement that, 'This is all just an evil ploy to make me look like the greatest manager ever when we come all the way back and win the whole thing,'" said Thunder General Manager Brad Taylor.
"Putting playoff tickets on sale back in April may have appeared to be tongue-in-cheek but we just thought it was a fun way to show that we believed in our team," added Taylor. "Now as we head down the stretch in first place, it's looking like we were right!"
The Thunder began the 2005 campaign with a 3-9 record and went on to win the Eastern League Northern Division Wild Card and a spot in the EL playoffs for the first time since 1999.
