Umpires added for SAL All-Star Game

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Eric Krupa, president of the South Atlantic League, has announced the revised roster of umpires for the 51st Annual SAL All-Star Game, scheduled to be played on June 22, 2010, at Fluor Field at the West End in Greenville, S.C.

Since the original announcement on June 8, the umpires assigned to work first and second base have been promoted. Umpire Tim Rosso was promoted to the Carolina League and umpire Brian de Brauwere was promoted to the Florida State League.

Working the game behind home plate will be Derek Mollica, who resides in Lake Worth, Fla. Derek is in his third year of professional baseball umpiring, including experience in the Gulf Coast and New York-Penn Leagues before joining the South Atlantic League in 2010.

The first base umpire will be Garrett Corl, who was originally assigned to work third base. Garrett resides in Port Matilda, Pa. He is in his third year of professional baseball umpiring, including experience in the Gulf Coast and New York-Penn Leagues before joining the South Atlantic League in 2010.

Gabriel Morales will be the second base umpire. Gabe resides Livermore, Calif., and he is in his second year of professional baseball umpiring, including experience in the Arizona and New York-Penn Leagues before joining the South Atlantic League in 2010.

Completing the crew, and working at third base will be Aaron Larsen. Aaron lives in Tomah, Wisc. He is in his fourth year of professional baseball umpiring, having worked in the Arizona and New York-Penn Leagues before joining the South Atlantic League in 2009.
