Bass Named to California League All-Star Team

Storm starting pitcher Anthony Bass was named to the California League All-Star Team early Saturday morning. With the addition of Bass, the Storm now bring six players to Myrtle Beach, the most of any team in the league.


Bass is 6-2 with a 2.74 ERA, 59 strikeouts and 12 walks. Bass' 2.74 ERA ranks third amongst Cal League pitchers.


The Michigan native joins closer Brad Brach, shortstop Drew Cumberland, second baseman Cole Figueroa and outfielders Daniel Robertson and Blake Tekotte.


The 2010 California/Carolina League All-Star Game is to be held on Tuesday, June 22 in Myrtle Beach, SC, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans of the Carolina League.
