With plenty of offense, Kaminsky helps Scrappers win first series

June 21, 2010
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers beat the Jamestown Jammers 9-2 to win their first series of the year and start the season 2-1.

The Scrappers scored five runs early and that was enough for right hander Alex Kaminsky, who pitched five shutout innings recording his first professional win. Catcher Diego Seastrunk added a three-run home run late, which was his first as a professional baseball player.

Jammers right hander Alvaro Estevez was saddled with the loss.

The Scrappers will play their home opener tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. It will also be Fireworks Night and fans will receive a magnetic schedule.
