Bisons win slugfest over RailRiders, 13-10

Chris Colabello homers twice for Herd in win

The hitters ruled the day in Tampa, FL on Sunday afternoon as the Buffalo Bisons out-slugged the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, 13-10, in Spring exhibition. The Herd is now 2-3 in its 15-game Spring Training schedule with a 1pm game against the RailRiders on Monday.

Ten different Bisons hitters drove in runs and 11 Herd batters collected hits as Buffalo scored in every inning except the fifth. 2013 International League MVP 1B CHRIS COLABELLO led the Bisons' charge with a pair of solo home runs as he finished the day 2-4 with two runs scored. Colabello hit 16 home runs last season between the Minnesota Twins and the Rochester Red Wings.

INF KEVIN NOLAN also homered and drove in two. OF JONATHAN BERTI was 3-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. As a team, the Bisons had 19 hits, eight for extra-bases.

Even with all the offense, a pair of Bisons' hurlers had solid outings. RHP BOBBY KORECKY struck out three over two scoreless innings (three hits) while LHP ROB RASMUSSEN struck out one and allowed two hits in his two scoreless frames.
