March 31, 2015

ROUND ROCK, Texas - After three weeks of voting, the Round Rock Express faithful have voted Morgan Ensberg as the newest member of the Express Hall of Fame. Ensberg topped fellow Express greats Keith Ginter and Royce Huffman in the voting process. He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on August 1 as a part of Alumni Weekend at Dell Diamond. Ensberg will be the second member of the Express Hall of Fame, joining the inaugural inductee, Jackie Moore.

As a member of the 2000 Texas League Championship team, Ensberg had 95 runs, 145 hits, 28 home runs, 90 RBI and a batting average of .300 in 137 games. Following the 2000 Texas League Championship victory, Ensberg and fellow teammate Keith Ginter were called up to the Houston Astros. He debuted for the Astros on September 20, 2000. Ensberg's MLB career spanned eight years and included an All-Star selection and a Silver Slugger Award in 2005 with the Houston Astros. Ensberg continues his involvement with baseball as a Special Assignment Coach for the Houston Astros.

Jackie Moore was the inaugural member of the Express Hall of Fame in 2014. Moore was the first manager in Round Rock Express history, combining 655-607 record over seven seasons, including the Texas League Championship in the Express' inaugural season. Moore's positive outlook and competitive nature will always remain characteristics of the Express franchise.

Alumni Weekend will take place Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1, at Dell Diamond. The weekend festivities include Friday Fireworks on July 31 and the Hall of Fame Plaque giveaway presented by St. David's on August 1. The weekend is in the heart of a 12-game homestand with the Express facing off against the Oklahoma City Dodgers (July 24-27), Omaha Storm Chasers (July 28-31) and the Memphis Redbirds (August 1-4).
