Enhanced Security Measures for Frontier Field/Carry-In Policy
Click here for a printable pdf version of this information.

To ensure the safety of our fans, players and associates, the following enhanced security measures are now in place for all events at Frontier Field. No food, beverage, firearms, knives, glassware, silverware, cans, coolers, lawn chairs or nets used to catch balls will be permitted at Frontier Field.

Bags no larger than 16"x16"x12" bag are allowed. All bags are subject to inspection by security upon entry or at any time while on the stadium premises. Security has the right to refuse admittance to anyone with a bag that is too large to inspect or to anyone who refuses to cooperate with the inspection process. All bags must be stowed under the seats during the game. Storage at Frontier Field facilities is not available except as noted below, with regard to strollers.

Please note, the following items are allowed, but may be inspected at any time. If in doubt as to what is allowed inside the gates, please consult security.

-Baseball gloves

-Diaper Bags

-Baby bottles

-Standard-size seat cushion

-Collapsible Strollers that can easily be stored at guest services

-Video and Photo Cameras

-Small radios (must be listened via ear pieces)

-Personal-sized umbrellas (no beach-sized umbrellas)

Suspicious Bags and Packages In or Around the Stadium

Any unattended bag could pose a danger and should be treated with caution. If you become aware of such an item, please notify the head of security, a Red Wings staff member and appropriate on or off-duty police.

Smoking Policy
No smoking of any kind is allowed at Frontier Field. This includes electronic cigarettes. A smoking area is provided outside the stadium gate adjacent to the Walk of Fame, on Morrie Silver Way.

Re-entry Policy
The Red Wings discourage fans from leaving and re-entering the stadium, but in the case when a fan must temporarily exit the facility, they must do so through the Pass Gate, while notifying the Pass Gate attendant of their plan to return.

Rain Check Policy
While not a security matter, when inclement weather causes a postponement, fans may ask about our rain check policy. In the event any game is postponed due to inclement weather, or any unexpected circumstances, prior to the completion of the 5 th inning (mid-5 th if the Red Wings are ahead), tickets are valid for a comparable seat (based upon availability) to any other 2015 regular season home game. If Opening Day is postponed, that ticket will be valid for the first home game played.
