Mullens, Mets blank Devil Rays
Mullens (7-1) gave up four hits over 5 2/3 innings en route to his third win in his last four starts. The 21-year-old right-hander issued two walks and struck out four.
Steven Cheney came on in the sixth with runners on first and second and struck out Epifanio De Leon to end the threat. He worked a scoreless seventh before Jusef Frias closed out the game.
Sean McCraw went 3-for-3 with an RBI single in the sixth and a two-run homer in the seventh. Will Bashelor and Anthony Manuel drew bases-loaded walks to cap a three-run sixth.
Emmanuel Garcia added an RBI triple in the eighth for the Mets (27-21), who have won six straight.
Princeton starter Wilton Noel (1-4) surrendered three runs on four hits with four strikeouts and three walks over five innings.
