Big Dawg 98.5 FM anchors new network

Games will air on WDWG 98.5 FM, 99.3 FM Rock City & 1490 AM

ZEBULON, NC - The Carolina Mudcats, the Class A Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and member of the historic Carolina League, are proud to announce today a new radio network affiliation agreement with First Media, LLC radio stations The Big Dawg 98.5 FM, 99.3 FM Rock City and SPORTS 1490 AM.

WDWG The Big Dawg 98.5 FM will once again serve as the flagship station of Mudcats baseball on the radio this season. Additionally, most games will also air on WZAX 99.3 FM Rock City and WRMT Sports 1490 AM. Listeners should check their local listings and the Carolina Mudcats website (www.carolinamudcats.com) for more information throughout the season.

Fans can also listen online for free via www.carolinamudcats.com and through the TuneIn Radio app on their mobile device. TuneIn Radio is the official digital audio partner of MiLB.com.

"A Braves New World" comes to Five County Stadium in 2015 as the Mudcats begin their first year as an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves on April 9 at "The Family Place" versus the Salem Red Sox with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Individual tickets are now available online at www.carolinamudcats.com, by calling (919) 269-2287 and by visiting the Five County Stadium box office.

Centered in Rocky Mount, The Big Dawg 98.5 FM is an around the clock music station playing "Today's Hottest Country." The Big Dawg will combine with 99.3 FM Rock City and Sports 1490 AM to air all 140 regular season Carolina Mudcats games in 2015. WZAX 99.3 FM Rock City is a classic rock station and WRMT Sports 1490 AM airs national FOX Sports radio programming. The combined coverage between all three stations will provide listeners an opportunity to listen to Mudcats games throughout a large portion of eastern North Carolina.

Joining the Mudcats this season is newly named Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations Greg Young. Young will broadcast the live play-by-play of all games airing on the Mudcats Radio Network.

Young served last season as the Senior Broadcast and Video Assistant for the Tennessee Smokies (Double A, Southern League) and the esteemed Smokies Radio Network. Additionally, he was the Director of Broadcasting for the Modesto Nuts (Class A Advanced, California League) from 2008 through 2011 and the Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting for the California Cougars (Major Indoor Soccer League) from 2007 through 2009.

Young has also worked for Comcast Hometown Network's coverage of the Fresno Grizzlies (Triple A, Pacific Coast League), San Jose Giants (Class A Advanced, California League) and Stockton Ports (Class A Advanced, California League) in Northern California.

The Carolina Mudcats are the Class A Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. The 2015 "Braves New World" season is the first for the Mudcats as an affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and their fourth straight in the historic Carolina League. First established in 1991, the Mudcats are entering their 25th straight season of baseball at Five County Stadium in Zebulon, N.C.
