Trio Of 'Topes Take Part In Triple-A All-Star Game

July 2, 2010
A trio of Albuquerque Isotopes made the long trek to Allentown, PA, where they participated in the Triple-A All-Star Game at Coca-Cola Park, home of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (Triple-A affiliate of the Phillies) last Wednesday.

Although the PCL lost a crisply-played game 2-1, all three 'Topes saw action. Jay Gibbons started in right field and was one of only two players on the PCL squad along with Las Vegas infielder Jarrett Hoffpauir to play the entire game.

John Lindsey came on as a pinch-hitter and stayed in the games as the DH, collecting one of the PCL's five base hits on the night.

Lucas May also made a pinch-hit appearance and stayed in the game at catcher for the end of the contest.

Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line www.albuquerquebaseball.com or www.ticketmaster.com. For more information or for a complete list of 2009 promotions visit www.albuquerquebaseball.com.
