Salcedo Heads to Rome

The Rome Braves have received infielder Edward Salcedo from the Dominican Summer League and have placed RHP pitcher Steven Figueroa on the disabled list with an elbow strain.

Salcedo was signed by the Braves in February and has been playing in the Dominican Summer League. He was hitting .297 with one home run and eleven RBI in 74 at bats.
