AquaSox National Anthem Auditions

EVERETT, WA - The Everett AquaSox will begin accepting auditions to sing the National Anthem at a 2015 AquaSox home game once again this year. This year's auditions will begin with YouTube entries, allowing AquaSox fans to take part in the voting process.

Anthem performers will be chosen by the AquaSox staff with the help of input from our fans in the form of 'likes' on each audition video. Auditions can be submitted by individuals or groups, ranging from all ages, and be performed through traditional singing or the use of instruments. Performances are being requested to be no longer than one minute and thirty seconds long. Performers may alternately perform 'God Bless America', which is sung post-game at each AquaSox fireworks night game.

To audition, the AquaSox are asking contestants to upload their videos to YouTube using the following steps:

  • Video Title: Use the format of "(First Name Last Name) Everett AquaSox National Anthem Audition." Or "(First Name Last Name) Everett AquaSox God Bless America Audition".
  • Description: Same information as the title, as well as any other information the contestants feel is necessary for the audition.
  • Tags: To help everyone search for the videos taking part in the competition, use the tag "AquaSoxNA" when uploading.
  • Sharing Your Video: To complete the video submission process, contestants email their video/link to [email protected].

How do I post my audition to YouTube?
First, you must create a (free) YouTube account. Then, simply upload a file from your computer or record from your webcam directly to YouTube.

What are acceptable files to upload?
Here are some formats supported by YouTube: .MPEG4, 3GPP, .MOV, .AVI, .MPEGPS, .WMV, and .FLV

Who can audition?
Anyone - All ages are welcome to audition.

You can also audition as an individual or as a group. Acapella or instrumental performances are accepted. Feel free to be creative.

How long do the performances have to be?
The performances must be no longer than 1:30.

If I am selected to sing at a AquaSox game, can I choose which day?
The AquaSox front office will choose the best game-day for you to sing, but will try to work with your schedule when possible.
