4th of July fireworks as Z's face Omaha
A spectacular 4th of July fireworks show highlights a four-game series between the New Orleans Zephyrs and Omaha Royals, beginning Sunday night at 6:00 p.m.
The Zephyrs host the Royals on the 4th of July, with a fireworks extravaganza and a concert featuring Local Option II following the game. The clubs will meet again for 7:00 p.m. games on Monday and Tuesday, and wrap up the series on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.
The Z's enter the holiday weekend trailing Oklahoma City by four games in the American Southern Division race. Omaha, meanwhile, is in a tight race in the American North, with all four teams in the division separated by just one game. The Royals will come to town with newly-promoted relief pitcher Louis Coleman, the former LSU star who led the Tigers to the 2009 national championship.
