Shuckers & BayBears Suspended Due to Rain

Mobile, Ala. - The Mobile BayBears and Biloxi Shuckers were suspended on Saturdaynight due to rain in the beginning of the fifth inning.The game will be resumed on Sunday at 1:05 PM CT, with the Shuckers leading 3-0 after four innings. Sunday'soriginally scheduled game, set for seven innings, will follow the conclusion of game one which will be finished in its' entirety.

Biloxi got on the board in the first inning when BayBears starting RHP Brandon Sinnery retired the first batter he faced but Orlando Arcia reached first on an error in the next at bat. After a walk to Nathan Orf, Taylor Green delivered a RBI single to score Arcia. Michael Reed drove in another run with a sacrifice fly to center to push the Shuckers lead to 2-0. Biloxi scored again in the second inning when Adam Weisenburger drove in Tryrone Taylor with an RBI single.

After allowing three hits in the top of the first inning, Shuckers starting LHP Hobbs Johnson retired 10 straight batters before play was stopped at the end of the fourth inning.

The game will resume Sunday with no outs and the Shuckers batting in the top of the fifth inning.
