Diamondbacks purchase Danny Dorn's contract
RENO - The Reno Aces (@Aces), in conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks), have announced the contract of first baseman Danny Dorn has been purchased by the D-backs.
In ten games with the Aces, Dorn is hitting .474 (18-for-38) with 8 RBI, 7 runs scored, 4 doubles, 2 home runs and 1 triple. He is leading the Pacific Coast League in average and OPS (1.289), is T-1st in on-base percentage (.500), 2nd in slugging percentage (.789), 6th in total bases (30), 7th in hits and T-12th in doubles.
Dorn, 30, will be making his Major League debut after 939 games and 3,252 at-bats in Minor League Baseball. 2015 marks Dorn's 10th season in the minors after being drafted in 2006 out of Cal-State Fullerton where he won a National Championship in 2004.
A corresponding move for the Aces has yet to be announced.
