Dodgers Catcher Brad Ausmus is scheduled to Rehab with 66ers July 7th-10th.

San Bernardino, Calif.- Los Angeles Dodgers back-up catcher Brad Ausmus will begin a rehabilitation stint with the Inland Empire 66ers starting Wednesday, July 7th and is scheduled to go until Saturday, July 10th.

Ausmus, 41, who is coming off surgery to repair a herniated disk on his back, was placed on the 60-day disabled list as of April 9th for the first time in his 18-year career. The All-Star and three-time Gold Glove Award winner is currently tied for seventh place on the all-time list for games caught with Al Lopez at 1,918.

He has a career batting average of .252 with 80 home runs and 605 runs batted in. During his 18 seasons in the big leagues, he has played for the San Diego Padres, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ausmus has only played in one game this season for the Dodgers, going 1-for-4 with a double against the Pittsburgh Pirates on April 8th before being placed on the disabled list.

Inland Empire returns home Saturday July 10th for a three game series with the Lancaster JetHawks. Saturday will be Manny Ramirez Action figure giveaway day at Arrowhead Credit Union Park. Tickets are still available to see the rehabbing Dodger and get the Manny action figure.
