SERIES BREAKDOWN:
After dropping game one of the series, 7-3, the Crawdads have won the last three games against the Grasshoppers, including last night's, 6-3, win. Crawdads RF Jared Prince drove in two runs on an RBI double and C Zach Zaneski hit his third homer of the year in last night's contest. The 'Dads are now 3-1 in the current five-game series and 5-3 against the Grasshoppers on the season. Following tonight's game, the two teams will five more times, all in Greensboro.

ON THE MOUND:

Crawdads:
RHP Jake Brigham, 22, is making his third start and fourth appearance for the Crawdads this evening. Brigham has posted a 1-0 record with a 0.75 ERA through 12 innings, allowing one run on seven hits with four walks and six strikeouts. The Ocoee, Florida native allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out four in a six inning performance against the Delmarva Shorebirds on Wednesday. While with the High-A Bakersfield Blaze of the California League, Brigham was 1-5 with a 6.93 ERA through 49.1 innings, surrendering 46 runs on 67 hits and 26 walks with 39 strikeouts. He was selected by the Texas Rangers as a sixth round pick in the 2006 draft out of Central Florida Christian Academy in Florida.

Grasshoppers:
RHP Matthew Montgomery, 22, will be making his 18th start and 19th appearance for the Grasshoppers tonight. Montgomery, out of Sun City, California, has a record of 5-8 with a 3.04 ERA, surrendering 44 runs on 100 hits and 15 walks with 91 strikeouts in 103.2 innings pitched. In his last appearance, Montgomery hurled eight scoreless frames, allowing just four hits and a walk while fanning seven, picking up the win against the Lakewood BlueClaws on Wednesday. He was selected by the Florida Marlins as a 10th round pick in the 2009 draft out of UC Riverside in California.
