July 28th: Wing Fling (wings, eating contests, more)

LAKEWOOD, NJ - After a successful 2009 debut, Wing Fling is back in 2010! Join the BlueClaws on July 28th for 50-cent chicken wings from area restaurants, contests and more!

We'll have wings from the following restaurants: Leggetts, Brewster's Bar and Grill, Applebee's of Brick, Mad Hatter, Farrell's Stout and Steak, Harpoon Willy's, Ivy League Restaurant, TGI Friday's, Famous Dave's, Moore's Tavern, Club Maggie's.

Plus, we will have a wing-eating contest for fans and one local restaurant will be crowned King of the Wing by the celebrity judges.

Joel Podelsky of Laurence Harbor, NJ was the wing-eating contest last year. He consumed 29 wings in five minutes.

It's also a Dollar Dog Wednesday, with $1 hot dogs in the first and third base concession stands.
