STOCKTON, Calif. - Led by three home runs by A.J. Reed, the JetHawks scored a season-high in runs and snapped a six-game losing streak in an 18-4 victory over the Stockton Ports on Wednesday night at Banner Island Ballpark.

After walks to Brett Phillips and Jack Mayfield in the first inning, Reed hit a three-run homer off Ports (13-14) starter Lou Trivino (2-1) to give Lancaster (12-15) an early 3-0 lead.

The home run was the first of three on the night for Reed, who finished with nine RBI, five runs scored and became the first minor league player to homer three times in a game this season.

Phillips extended the lead to four runs on a RBI single in the second. But after Stockton scored on a Franklin Barreto RBI single in the bottom half, the JetHawks rallied for six runs in the top of the fourth. After allowing a leadoff single and a walk, Trivino was finished for Stockton. With reliever Matt Stalcup on the mound, Jack Mayfield hit a two-RBI single and Reed later followed with a grand slam to extend Lancaster's lead to 10-1.

RBI doubles by Ronnie Mitchell and Brian Holberton gave the JetHawks two runs in the sixth, and after a four-run rally in the seventh, Reed's third home run of the game capped off Lancaster's scoring.

The Ports scored each of their runs against JetHawks starter Edison Frias (3-2). In addition to Barreto's second-inning RBI single, the right-hander yielded a two-run homer to Jose Brisuela in the sixth and exited after a Beau Taylor double. Albert Minnis entered in relief and gave up another RBI single to Barreto, with the run charged to Frias.

Over 5.2 innings, Frias walked three and struck out four, allowing four runs on six hits and recording the win. Minnis tossed 2.1 frames of scoreless relief, while Frederick Tiburcio pitched a scoreless ninth to end the JetHawks' six-game losing streak.

With a seventh-inning RBI single, Jose Fernandez extended his hitting streak to 15 games.

The JetHawks close their series with the Ports Thursday evening at Banner Island Ballpark. Brian Holmes (1-1, 3.54) will start for Lancaster, and Dylan Covey (2-2, 2.96) will pitch for Stockton. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
