Spinners' Chambers plates seven
Chambers went 4-for-5, registering hits in his first four at-bats. He had a base hit in the second inning, delivered a two-run single in the fourth, singled in another run in the sixth and capped his big night in the seventh, when he sent his third home run over the left-field wall.
The 22-year-old second baseman had been mired in a 2-for-29 slump but raised his average 19 points to .234. He had only 12 RBIs in his first 43 games.
Jorge Jimenez added two hits, scored two runs and drove in one, while Manuel Arambarris and Paul Smyth each had two hits and scored a run to help the Spinners (30-32) snap a two-game slide.
Lowell third baseman Zak Farkes ripped a sixth-inning single to extend his hitting streak to 13 games.
Starter J.T. Zink (2-4) allowed two runs on five hits over 7 2/3 innings to get the win. He fanned two and walked one.
Tri-City's Bryan Hallberg (4-2) yielded two runs on six hits over five innings, striking out seven without issuing a walk.
Jordan Parraz had two hits and drove in two runs for the ValleyCats (38-23), who had a seven-game winning streak stopped.
