Cleveland Indians Pitcher T.J. House and Catcher Yan Gomes to Rehab with Captains on Friday, May 15 at Classic Park

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, announced today that Indians starting pitcher, T.J. House and Indians catcher Yan Gomes will both take part in rehabilitation assignments with the Captains at Classic Park on Friday, May 15 against the Dayton Dragons. Game time is 6:30 PM.  

House went on the disabled list on May 1 with left shoulder inflammation and Gomes went on the disabled list with a right knee sprain on April 12.

House pitched for the Captains in 2009 and made his Major League debut on May 17, 2014. Last year he was 5-3 with a 3.35 ERA in 19 appearances, including 18 starts. 

Gomes had a career year in 2014 hitting .274 with 21 home runs and 74 RBI's. The Brazilian native won the American League Silver Slugger following the 2014 season, becoming the first Indians catcher to win the award outright. Victor Martinez shared the award in 2004.
