Upcoming Homestand: Education, Barks and Food Trucks

The Blue Jays return for a seven-game homestand on Monday, May 18.

DUNEDIN, FL - The Dunedin Blue Jays will be back at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium for a seven-game homestand, beginning on Monday, May 18 with a 6:30PM start against the Tampa Yankees.

This will mark the first home series of the 2015 season against the Yankees. After the three contests with Tampa, the Jays will welcome the St. Lucie Mets to Dunedin for a four-game set. It will be the first meeting of the season between Dunedin and St. Lucie.

There will be plenty of action at the ballpark outside of the realm of baseball during the seven-game stretch, beginning with Education Day on Tuesday, May 19.

The first pitch for the Jays and Yankees game is set for 11:00AM with great things for students to do prior to the game. Gates will open at 10:00AM on that Tuesday with a trainer seminar on the field for kids at 10:30AM. 

After the final out of the ballgame is recorded the kids will have the opportunity to feel like professional ballplayers as they can run the bases, weather permitting. Kids can also enjoy two dollar ($2) water and hot dogs and one dollar ($1) fruit during the day to stay fueled for a great day of baseball.

Education Day in sponsored by Walmart Neighborhood Market and co-sponsored by Hair Cuttery, Crime Stoppers and Clearwater Gas. There will also be a number of sponsors with tables in the concourse.

Saturday, May 23 will mark the Blue Jays second Bark in the Park of the 2015 season. The dogs loved it so much the first time around, we had to open the stadium up again to our furry friends again!

The game against the Mets is slated to get underway at 6:30PM on the 23rd with gates opening at 5:30PM. The first 250 dogs to enter Florida Auto Exchange Stadium will receive a free doggie waste bag holder, presented by Platinum Bank. Human tickets to the event are $7 dollars and doggie ticket cost $3. Proceeds from the second of two Bark in the Parks will benefit Dunedin Doggie Rescue. The concourse will be full of great doggie vendors showcasing what's out in the doggie world from toys to food and more, a total of 12 dog vendors will be in attendance.

Additionally, the Dunedin Blue Jays will host a Food Truck Rally during Bark that Saturday. Food trucks will station themselves in front of Florida Auto Exchange Stadium for a great night of delicious cuisine.

Tampa Pig Roast and M-N-N BBQ, America's Disaster Relief, Pop Bandits, Murray's Chicago Deli, In-Laws Subs LLC, and Simply Squeezed Olde Fashioned Lemonade, INC. will all be on hand as part of the Food Truck Rally.
