AutoZone Park Recognized As No. 2 In Minor League Ballpark Rankings

Baseball America Names Redbirds Home As Best Ballpark In Pacific Coast League
May 15, 2015

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Baseball America has ranked AutoZone Park as No. 2 on its list of the nation's Best Ballparks in the Minors. The national publication surveyed more than 100 minor league general managers, radio announcers, league observers, and others involved in the game about the best ballparks to help create a top 25 ranking.

"As the jewel of downtown Memphis, we're proud that AutoZone Park continues to be recognized as a premier minor league destination for baseball fans," said Redbirds General Manager Craig Unger.

AutoZone Park recently underwent a $6.5 million offseason renovation that added significant state-of-the-art features and fan-friendly amenities. Enhancements included LED ribbon boards; a Left Field Video Wall; two new TruGreen "Bluffs" inside the main seating bowl; a destination bar in Left Field; an expanded Home Plate Club; the addition of the 4-Tops Table Seating; the stadium's first All-Inclusive Redbird Club; and a playing field replacement.

AutoZone Park is noted as "the only park in our league that feels like a big league stadium. Combine that with the downtown location, top-notch sightlines and player amenities, and a gorgeous entryway of player statues and a red brick facade, and Memphis remains a ballpark to be envied."

A listing of the top 10 ballparks is below, while the top 25 can be found at the following link: http://www.baseballamerica.com/majors/best-ballparks-minors/
