Fifth Third Field going to the dogs: Sunday, May 24

May 15, 2015

The Toledo Mud Hens and Pedigree Dentastix are teaming up for a pet friendly weekend at Fifth Third Field, Friday, May 22 through Sunday, May 24, which includes the first Hens and Hounds event of the season on Sunday, May 24, presented by the Blade.

Hens & Hounds Night

Bring your pooch to the ballpark on Sunday, and the first 500 dogs will receive a doggie prize! The Home Run Picnic Terrace (Sections 120-122) will be a dog friendly zone, with special water stations, mini-pools and designated restroom areas.

Fans bringing their dog should enter through the Center Field Gate near the corner of Monroe and St. Clair. Dogs must be on a leash (six feet or less, no retractable leashes please).

Dog owner tickets are $12 each, and tickets for your furry companion are $8 each, with 100 percent of the dog ticket proceeds to benefit Lucas County Canine Care and Control. The second Hens and Hounds Night is schedule for Wednesday, August 26.

For tickets for you and your furry companion on May 24, call 419-725-4367 or order online

(Please note: there will be a postgame fireworks show on Sunday, May 24 that will begin 30-40 minutes after the game ends. We ask dog owners to take that time to exit the ballpark with their dogs if the fireworks display would be disruptive to their pet.)

Although pooches will not be allowed in the ballpark Friday and Saturday, the Mud Hens will still be giving out great Pedigree Dentastix coupons all weekend long!
