Nix traded to Philadelphia

The Orioles today announced that they have traded infielder Jayson Nix to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for cash considerations. He will be assigned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. 

Nix, 32, had appeared in 25 games for Norfolk this season, batting .167 with three doubles and eight runs batted in. the Orioles had signed Nix as a minor league free agent on February 17.
