Hot Rods to Host NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Night

Bowling Green, KY - The Bowling Green Hot Rods, Class A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays, have announced that the team will host NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Night at Bowling Green Ballpark on Thursday, August 5.

NCWTS driver Aric Almirola will sign autographs before the game courtesy of Camping World and NASCAR. Almirola is currently ranked second in the NCWTS standings with two wins and eight top-ten finishes in 2010. He will also 'wave the green flag' by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the Hot Rods play the South Bend Silver Hawks, the Midwest League affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The autograph session will take place from 5:30 -6:00 PM, and game time is 6:35 PM.

The Camping World Show Truck and Hauler will be featured at the Center Street entry plaza at Bowling Green Ballpark, allowing fans to view and take pictures of the high-powered machinery. Fans can also win tickets for the NCWTS Nashville 200 Race set to take place on August 7 at Nashville Superspeedway.

In addition to being available on August 5, Almirola will be available for one-on-one interviews prior to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Night. The Hot Rods open a three-game series on Wednesday night against the Quad Cities River Bandits, Class A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals.
