"Peanut Free Game" Set for July 7th

May 21, 2015

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - On Tuesday, July 7, the Charlotte Knights will host a "Peanut-Free Game" at BB&T Ballpark -- giving fans with peanut allergies a chance to cheer on their team in a "peanut-free" environment. The Knights will host the Durham Bulls in a 7:05 p.m. game and all sales of peanuts will be halted at the ballpark that entire evening.

"We understand that peanuts are staple at the ballpark, but we want to be able to offer our fans with peanut allergies a chance to enjoy a game in a peanut-free setting," said Knights Chief Operating Officer Dan Rajkowski. "We hope that those fans are able to come out and comfortably watch the Charlotte Knights play the Durham Bulls at BB&T Ballpark on the 7th."

Gates open at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7 as the Knights open a three-game series against the Bulls. The first 3,000 fans through the gates that night will receive a Knights Jersey Cooler. Tuesday's game also features "Twitter Tuesday" courtesy of BB&T. Fans will have a chance to win some great prizes throughout the night via @KnightsBaseball on Twitter.

Single-game tickets for this game, as well as all games this season, are available by phone at 704-274-8282, online at www.charlotteknights.com, or in person at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office. Uptown Knights Are Better Than Ever!
