Getting To Know Kevin Herget

1. If you weren't a baseball player, what job do you think you'd have? I studied math so probably a math teacher or baseball coach.

2. Do you have any pregame rituals? They only thing I do is when I go out to the field. It's pretty much the same time each day.

3. Who was your favorite baseball player or team growing up? Mine had to be David Wright and the Mets. He was up and coming when I grew up so I was just a big fan of him.

4. What is your favorite baseball memory? My favorite memory has to be when I went to the World Series in college. It was division 3 school, but it was still a really cool experience for me and my team.

5. How did you pick your walkout song? My walkout song is Can't Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I've always been a big Red Hot Chili Peppers fan, I pretty much know every song. It's been my song for six years or so.

6. What's your favorite thing to do on your off days? If the weather is nice I'm at the beach or pool for sure. I like to be outside, so you wouldn't find me in my house on off days.

7. Best thing about the Jupiter/Palm Beach area? Definitely the beach. Living so close to the beach is definitely a perk playing in Florida.

8. Do you have a nickname and how did you get it? My nicknames are a variation of my last name - Hergie, Hergie Fully loaded, names like that.

9. What's a hidden talent of yours? I can't think of one! I've never really tried anything other than baseball.

10. If you lived on an island and only had three items, what would they be? A ball or Frisbee to play with, the necessities to survive would be must, and I mean I'm on an island so how much more could I want?

11. You just won the lottery, what's the first thing you buy? I'd buy my dad a boat. He's wanted one ever since I got drafted.

12. Have you ever broken a bone? If so, how? I broke my fingers a few times in high school when I used to wrestle.

13. Taylor Swift or Beyonce? Taylor Swift for sure.
