River Cats To Receive World Series Rings Tonight

Members of San Francisco's World Championship Team Will Be Honored In Ring Presentation Ceremony at Raley Field

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Tonight the Sacramento River Cats and San Francisco Giants will present a number of River Cats players with their 2014 World Championship Rings.

Current River Cats who were members of the 2014 San Francisco Giants Championship will receive their rings from San Francisco General Manager Bobby Evans and River Cats President Jeff Savage. The ring presentation will take place in a special on-field ceremony prior to first pitch before tonight's game.

Those who will be recognized and presented with their rings include River Cats home run and RBI-leader Adam Duvall, as well as Juan Perez and Hunter Strickland, who appeared in a combined 22 games for the Giants in the 2014 postseason.

Designed and produced by Tiffany & Co., the 2014 World Championship Ring pays tribute to the team's three world championships in five years and to the eight total championships in their 133-year history. It also honors the Giants' strong connection to the City and County of San Francisco and the community's strong bond with the team.

The face of the 14k white gold championship ring features the San Francisco "SF" logo set in 18k yellow gold with 55 round melee diamonds. A bezel reading "World Champions" is highlighted along both sides of the ring. The top bezel is set with three round diamonds and the bottom bezel is set with five round diamonds representing the three championships in the last five years and the eight total franchise world championships. One side of the ring features the player's name and number with the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The other side celebrates the franchise's three recent World Series trophies.

Media and fans are encouraged to arrive early for tonight's special ceremony, which is expected to take place at 6:50 p.m. prior to the game's 7:05 first pitch.
