Arhart, Oaks walk off winners
With the Oaks trailing entering the bottom of the ninth, 4-2, Josh Asanovich and Fernando Perez led off with back-to-back singles and advanced on Shaun Cumberland's bunt. Chris Nowak's double plated Asanovich and Perez to tie the game before Arhart's two-bagger into deep right field brought home the winning run.
Visalia reliever Nick Debarr (4-3) worked around a hit in the ninth to get the win. Starter James Houser allowed four runs on five hits over six innings, fanning six and issuing two walks. Nick Moran struck out a pair over two hitless innings of relief.
Perez singled in the first to extend his hitting streak to 17 games for the first-place Oaks (38-27), who remain one game ahead of San Jose in the California League North Division. Gregorio Petit launched his seventh and eighth homers on a four-RBI night for the Ports (33-32).
Stockton reliever Steven Sharpe (0-1) worked around two hits in the eighth, but gave up the runs in the ninth to absorb the loss. Starter Heath Castle yielded two runs on five hits in four frames, while Scot Drucker gave up a pair of hits and fanned three over three scoreless innings.
