Blue Jays' Navarro joins Bisons on MLB rehab
Catcher has been out since late April with hamstring injury
Toronto Blue Jays catcher DIONER NAVARRO has joined the Buffalo Bisons on a MLB injury rehab assignment. Navarro will be active for the Herd for tonight's game against the Indianapolis Indians (6:05 p.m.).
Navarro has been on the Blue Jays' disabled list since April 25 (retroactive to April 22) with a strained left hamstring. The backstop has played just eight games for Toronto this year, hitting .267 with four RBI.
Navarro played a career-high 139 games for the Blue Jays in 2014, posing a .274 average with 22 doubles, 12 home runs and 69 RBI. He is a veteran of 862 MLB games with the Blue Jays, Cubs, Reds, Dodgers, Rays and Yankees.
