FRESNO, Calif. - ESPN writer Keith Law released his updated prospect rankings today, listing current Fresno Grizzlies shortstop Carlos Correa No. 1 overall. The 20-year-old is listed ahead of talented prospects Corey Seager (Triple-A Oklahoma City), Byron Buxton (Double-A Chattanooga), J.P. Crawford (High-A Clearwater) and Francisco Lindor (Triple-A Columbus).

"Correa won't turn 21 until late September - by which point he'll be the Astros' starting shortstop - and already has dominated every minor league level he has played in," stated Keith Law. "He has MVP upside, with one of the best pure hit tools in the minors."

Correa became the fifth youngest player in Fresno Grizzlies history and only the seventh to make his debut at age 20 or younger when he first appeared for the team on May 12 at Albuquerque. Since joining the Grizzlies, the Puerto Rican native is batting .268 (15-56) with four doubles, two homers and seven RBI over 13 games. Earlier this season, he batted .385 (45-117) with 15 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 32 RBI and 15 walks in 29 games with Double-A Corpus Christi. Entering play today, Correa is leading all of Minor League Baseball in extra-base hits (30) and ranks in the top five in hits (60), RBI (39) and on-base plus slugging percentage (1.057).
