Salem Red Sox to host Guns and Hoses Softball Game
SALEM, Va. - The Salem Red Sox have announced that the annual Guns and Hoses softball game between local fire and police departments will take place on Saturday, June 6 at 3:30 p.m.
The annual event, which helps benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, will be held prior to the Red Sox game against the Potomac Nationals, which is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Fans who purchase tickets to the Red Sox game will automatically receive admission to the Guns and Hoses game with gates opening at 3 p.m. A $3 donation will be made to the MDA when fans preorder a ticket through salemsox.com before 4 p.m. using the promo code "MDA".
In addition to the game, the fire and police departments will have fire trucks, SWAT trucks and police cars on display at the front gate for fans to enjoy. Fire and police personnel will take part in on-field activities during the Red Sox game and the winning team will be given a trophy at the end of the night.
