Aberdeen, MD - The Aberdeen IronBirds three game winning streak was snapped Wednesday night as the Brooklyn Cyclones scored six runs with two outs and won 7-2.

The Brooklyn Cyclones took an early lead in the top of the first inning. With two outs, Joe Bonfe hit a two-run double to left field and it gave the Cyclones a 2-0 lead.

In the fourth inning the IronBirds scored two runs to tie up the game. With the bases loaded and no one out Austin Rauch hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield that scored Adam Gaylord. Then with Austin Knight batting, there was a passed ball on catcher Juan Centeno that allowed David Anderson to score from third base to tie up the game.

The Cyclones would take the lead right back in the fifth inning. With two outs Jeff Flagg hit a double that scored Rylan Sandoval. Then Bonfe followed that up with a single to right that scored Flagg and made it a 4-2 game.

In the eighth inning the Cyclones scored two more runs. With two outs J.B. Brown and Centeno hit back to back RBI doubles that extended the Brooklyn lead to 6-2.

The Cyclones would add one more run in the ninth inning when Darrell Ceciliani scored on a Blake Mechaw wild pitch to make the score 7-2.

The win went to Wes Wrenn who came in to the game in the fifth inning and pitched four scoreless innings to get his third win of the season

Tim Adleman got the loss going five innings and giving up four runs on eight hits while striking out six.

Tomorrow in game two of the series RHP Brandon Erbe (0-0, 6.00) will make his second rehab start for the IronBirds against LHP Mitch Houck (4-0, 3.24).
