CURVE, Pa. - In front of 7,393 screaming fans, the largest crowd at home this season, the Curve offense powered through the B-Mets in convincing fashion Saturday night with a 13-4 win. The crowd was the ninth-largest pre-June crowd to take in a Curve game in team history. The thirteen runs for the Curve offense was the most runs scored this season and the 17 hits were one-shy of tying the team season-high of 18.

Eric Wood started the power surge with a three-run home run in the second inning off Mets starter Robert Gsellman (0-1), who was making his Double-A debut. The first place Curve (28-19) sent Gsellman packing in the fourth, after allowing six runs on eight hits.

Altoona's offense sprayed two runs in the third, one in the fifth, two in the sixth and five in the seventh. Gift Ngoepe, Max Moroff and Josh Bell, the top of the order, combined for four RBIs. Bell finished the night 3-for-4 and newly promoted Jose Osuna was 2-for-3 with three RBI. Wood finished the day with three hits and four RBI to go along with three runs scored. Every Curve positon player reached base in Saturday night's game and had at least one hit.

Curve starter Jason Creasy (6-0) kept his perfect season rolling with his fourth quality start in a row, going six strong innings and allowing just one run. His sixth win of the year leads the team and is now tied for the most wins in the Eastern League.

The team's highly-acclaimed Jabba the Hutt jerseys were a success as they raised a total of $5,865 for the St. Vincent de Paul Society Soup Kitchen of Altoona.

Altoona and Binghamton (25-24) finish the series Sunday night at 6 p.m. as the Curve go for the sweep on the first Sunday Night Fireworks game of the season. In addition to the fireworks, kids can run the bases after the game. Southpaw Zack Dodson (2-2, 2.56) will be going for the Curve, making his ninth start of the year. Starting for the Mets will be righty Seth Lugo (2-2, 2.56).

Gates open at 5 p.m. while airtime on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and the Curve Radio Network is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. For tickets and more information, visit AltoonaCurve.com, call 877.99.CURVE or stop by the PNG Field box office.
