Grifol selected for MLB All Star Game
EVERETT, Wash. - American League All Star manager Ned Yost announced the addition of former Everett AquaSox manager Pedro Grifol to his coaching staff for the 2015 MLB All Star Game as part of the coaching staff announcements on Thursday, June 4.
Grifol is the catchers coach for Yost's Kansas City Royals and will fill the same role for the AL All Stars. He managed the AquaSox from 2003-2005, leading the team to a second-, third- and fourth-place finishes. Grifol compiled a 115-113 record as the manager in Everett.
Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon was also named to the American League coaching staff for the July 14 game in Cincinnati.
