Mick Foley Coming to Hadlock Field on July 2nd
PORTLAND, MAINE - Wrestling legend Mick Foley is scheduled to make an appearance at Hadlock Field on Thursday, July 2nd, when the Portland Sea Dogs host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 7:00 PM. Foley will be available starting after first pitch to take photos with fans and sign autographs.
Foley spent well over a decade wrestling in Japan and the United States under the names Dude Love, Cactus Jack, and most prominently, Mankind. As Mankind, he was integral in the huge rise in popularity of the WWE in the late 90s. He earned the nickname "The Hardcore Legend" for his ability to absorb tremendous amounts of punishment and participating and some of the most well-known matches in sports-entertainment history.
Foley is also the author of several books. His memoir, "Have a Nice Day" reached number one on The New York Times best-seller list in December of 1999. He has also guest-starred on numerous television shows, performed stand-up comedy at festivals, and has spoken at a number of major universities, including MIT, Syracuse, and Notre Dame.
