Eugene Emeralds to Host Ems Fest

To kick off the Emeralds 60th Anniversary season, the Eugene Emeralds invite fans to join them for Ems Fest on Wednesday, June 17 at PK Park. This open house event will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and is open to the public during which fans will get their first glimpse of the 2015 Eugene Emeralds.

This fun-filled event will give fans exclusive access to PK Park and give them the unique opportunity to meet the newest Ems coaches and players. Fans young and old will be able to play catch on the field and step up to the pitcher's mound to test their arm with Speed Pitch. Kids will have the opportunity to test out the inflatables in the Kid's Fun Zone and visit with Sluggo. The Emeralds are also excited to unveil the newest addition to PK Park, the Kendall Photo Booth. Be sure to stop the concourse and capture the all the Ems Fest memories with this portable photo booth!

Throughout the event the players will be on site allowing fans to get to know the newest generation of Emeralds. Fans are encouraged to come to the one of the Q & A sessions that will be hosted during the fest and ask the hard questions to a few of the new recruits. The coaches will also be on hand for fans to learn more about the Emeralds new affiliation with the Chicago Cubs and what that means for the season. Attendees should make sure to bring their autograph books and other Emeralds memorabilia as some of the players and coaches will be available for autographs throughout the night.

"We are very excited to host Ems Fest for the first time at PK Park," said Allan Benavides, General Manager for the Emeralds. "Our fans are the biggest reason we have been able to be stay in Eugene for 60 years. This is a great way to thank them for all that they do, and it is a great way to show our players what Eugene has to offer!"

Entry to Ems Fest is free to the public. The Emeralds Box Office will be open during the event, so fans can purchase tickets for individual games including Opening Day on June 23 and the Fourth of July. A limited food menu will also be available for purchase inside the ball park.
