BOISE, Idaho - The Boise Hawks are excited to announce the inaugural Military Appreciation Night at Memorial Stadium.
The Hawks and Western Heating & Air Conditioning have joined forces to bring out military personnel and their families to the Saturday, August 1 game against the Vancouver Canadians. The game begins at 7:15 p.m.
Western Heating & Air Conditioning is the title sponsor for the event "We have a strong appreciation for the men and women in our military and recognize the vital role they play in our community and abroad," said Western Heating and Air Conditioning owner, Bob Barnes. "This is a great opportunity to give back to those who have given so much and we are proud to be part of it."
Through the partnership with the Hawks, Western Heating and Air Conditioning will donate hundreds of tickets to the Air National Guard as well as other military outlets.
"We are thrilled to have a local business that is so committed to community involvement being a part of our inaugural Military Appreciation Night," said Hawks general manager, Bob Flannery.
The Hawks will be wearing specially designed camouflage jerseys to commemorate the evening. In addition, a raffle and silent auction will be held throughout the game featuring the camouflage jerseys, with the proceeds going to a local non-profit military organization.
