Snappers within Striking Distance of Playoffs
With a 7-2 victory over the Burlington Bees the Snappers won their third straight game putting the team in prime position for a play-off run.
Snappers starting pitcher Tom Stuifbergen picked up his first win since May 4th against the Clinton Lumberkings. Stuifbergen went six plus innings with five strike outs lowering his ERA to 1.65.
Michael Gonzales cracked his second homerun in two nights as he now has the team lead with 12. Gonzales also collected his 20th double in the contest where he went 2-for-3 with three RBI's and two runs scored, making him The "Brodie Trophy Player of the Game."
The Snappers look to take the series Thursday night as lefty starter Clint Dempster toes the mound with game time scheduled for 7:00PM.
