8th Annual Knights Golf Classic Raises $18,475

June 15, 2015

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) -- On Monday, June 15, the Charlotte Knights held their 8th Annual Golf Classic at the Arnold Palmer designed TPC Piper Glen golf course in Charlotte, NC. Just like in previous seasons, Monday's annual golf tournament was a big success. Overall, the day's festivities raised $18,475 for Levine Children's Hospital.

The Knights are committed to supporting the community and will continue the tradition of bringing together baseball and golf to raise money for the Levine Children's Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center each season. Monday's 8th Annual Knights Golf Classic was the second consecutive one held at TPC Piper Glen.

Knights Community Relations Director Lindsey Roycraft once again did a great job putting the event together. Each year, Lindsey works with Mark Griffith, Director, Fund Development at Levine Children's Hospital to put on this great event.

The Knights, along with many of their great partners, hold this golf event to raise awareness and money for children and families in need. Since its inception in 2008, 100% of the money raised from the golf classic goes directly to Levine Children's Hospital.

The Knights would like to take a moment to thank all of the great people who helped make Monday's golf classic a success. We look forward to continuing our great relationship with Levine Children's Hospital and our hosts -- TPC Piper Glen -- again next season. We can't wait to raise even more money in 2016.
