Bristol Pirates professional baseball remains an affordable family event

Professional baseball in Bristol remains a real deal throughout Minor League Baseball, with the cost for a family of four to attend a game in the Twin Cities only $38. The average costs were calculated using the prices of two adult tickets, two child tickets, four hot dogs, two sodas, two beers, a program or scorecard and parking.

Minor League Baseball recently announced that the average cost for a family of four to enjoy the average Minor League Baseball game this season is $64.18, with the average cost for that same family to attend a Short Season-A/Rookie ball game $57.32.

"Bristol Baseball, Inc., the operator of the Bristol Pirates, remains committed to making attending professional baseball games right in your own back yard affordable for all our fans," Pirates General Manager Mahlon Luttrell noted. "We are able to keep prices low because of the all-volunteer nature of our non-profit operations."

"In these days of rising prices, we are proud that we have been able to keep our prices well below the market-average, while providing a place where fans of all ages can come enjoy the future stars of the game," Luttrell continued. "Only with the continued support of our fans, sponsorships from merchants and other businesses, and assistance from those who recognize the importance of our non-profit activities, can we continue to keep professional baseball alive in Bristol."

The Bristol Pirates are the Advanced Rookie affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. They begin their 2015 season at home on Tuesday, June 23, at 7:00 PM.
