Texas League All-Star Game: Full Rundown

Fun for the Entire Family
June 18, 2015

CORPUS CHRISTI - The 79th Texas League All-Star Game, presented by CITGO, is Tuesday, June 30, at Whataburger Field.

First pitch is 7:30 at the Ballpark by the Bay… but there's so much more to see and do before and after the game. Make plans now to be a part of the Coastal Bend's signature sports event of 2015! We have something for everyone:

Gulf Coast FCU Fan Fest, 3-6 p.m., Whataburger Field Service Drive
(immediately west of stadium)
This is a FREE public event and kicks off the All-Star festivities. With a Kids Play Area, Sports Zone, and Relaxation Station, you'll find fun activities for the whole family. Brinca provides an inflatable obstacle course; if you want to "jump around," Rainbow Play Systems is bringing a trampoline. The Houston Astros Street team livens things up with a prize wheel and XPOGO, presented by H-E-B, performs stunts. Interactive displays from the Texas State Aquarium (creature feature) and CCPD enable your children to have fun and learn simultaneously. H-E-B, Stripes, the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, KIII-TV3, and K•99 will be on hand to meet and greet you, as well.

Texas League South Division All-Stars sign autographs at 3, followed by North Division All-Stars at 3:30. At 4, it's time for baseball Q&A with Hooks broadcaster Michael Coffin. Reverend's Daughter performs on the Bud Light Stage at 3 and 4:30.

Soft drinks, popcorn, peanuts, and cracker jacks will be available for sale.

Gates Open, 4 p.m.

All-Star Jersey Auction Begins, 4 p.m.
This is a silent auction on the Whataburger Field concourse of All-Star batting practice and Home Run Derby-worn jerseys. In-stadium bidding only; closes at completion of fourth inning.

South All-Stars Batting Practice, 4-4:45 p.m.

North All-Stars Batting Practice, 4:45-5:30 p.m.

XPOGO Stunt Team, presented by H-E-B, 5:30-5:45 p.m.
It's XPOGO, as in extreme pogo sticking. Watch these guys and you'll find out how impossible it is for them to "stick" a landing. Trust us when we tell you that most "recreational" pogo stick users - like us - never envisioned risk like this. The XPOGO Stunt Team performs throughout the All-Star Game!

Texas League All-Star Home Run Derby, presented by Stripes, 5:45-7 p.m.
Four from the North, four from the South… with a twist! We have to take it seriously, because it's actually the All-Star Game tiebreaker should the Classic end deadlocked after 10 innings. However, home runs aren't the only way contestants can "score" in this modernfied version of the derby. Hint: target practice recommended. CCISD Derby Kids shaggers provided by H-E-B.

Texas League All-Star Game Pregame Ceremonies, 7:15 p.m.
•Mayoral Proclamation by Hon. Nelda Martinez
•South Texas Sky Dive presents the Colors
•Team Introductions, North followed by South
•Moment of Silence honoring Bill Valentine, former Arkansas Travelers COO, executive VP, and GM
•National Anthem by Mariachis Mexicanisimo
